Screw conveyors

The principle of transfer by means of an Archimedes screw (also called an “auger”) is to move liquids or solids (powder, grains, aggregates) along a vertical or inclined plane.
Our machines are designed only to transfer solids, in the following main applications: gravel, silica, wood chips and sawdust, ashes, dust, praline, cocoa beans or coffee beans.
We perform a complete calculation of the machine, based on the grain size, the wanted volume flow rate and the travel distance, then we adapt the motor, the driving system, the material inlets and outlets, the usable volume inside the cowlings, the outside diameter and the pitch of the spirals accordingly.
During the cost estimate phase, we provide a functional drawing showing the main characteristics of the equipment, so that the final design can be validated jointly with our customers’ technical teams.
