Ambos Brothers and Sons

Ambos Brothers and Sons

Since the creation of the company in 1955, it is the passion for metal that drives each of our employees.
From generation to generation, the company has known how to evolve and adapt without ever forgetting the essential: investing and innovating.
The company provides its customers with a fleet of ultra modern machines that are constantly renewed to ensure the best returns on the market.

The first stage of our operations begins with the engineering & consulting activity. We have the most efficient IT solutions in order to perform our services in the shortest possible time. We can analyze computer files in 3D to perform our price calculations and industrialize each component in an automated way. We use 3D CAD software to design new equipment according to your specifications and to design our production tools. Our 4000 m2 of workshops are fully connected to WIFI, which allows everyone to connect to the central server to study the plans or technical files of a case. To industrialize sheet metal or industrial boilermaking parts, we have 3D software for bending and layout calculations. The nested parts to be cut are also carried out automatically thanks to post-processors which communicate directly with the laser, plasma and flame cutting machines.

Sheet metal

In the sheet metal industry, it is thanks to our fiber laser cutting solution that the best yields and the best levels of finish are achieved. Depending on the thickness of the sheets, we also use thermal plasma or flame cutting technology and thus perform all our cuts in-house. Our press brakes can shape sheets 4000 mm long and have bending aid tools to ensure optimum ergonomics for production operators. In parallel with the bending, we can also carry out the rolling of ferrules and cones for sheet thicknesses up to 40 mm and 2500 mm wide. For each application, we have a machine or tool that optimizes manufacturing time and productivity.

Over the past few years, our skilled welding expertise has met with international success. Our team of welders is continuously trained to use ultra modern welding equipment. Our MIG-MAG welding stations are now all equipped with synergic current sources which facilitate the adjustment of parameters and ensure an irreproachable level of finish of each weld bead. We have installed lifting jibs and positioners at each workstation to facilitate the handling of parts. Every minute of handling that can be saved allows the product to be produced faster and at lower cost. For special applications of automated, mechanized or partially mechanized welding, we have invested in three very complementary technologies: the TIG longitudinal welding bench for the splicing of thin shell shells, the submerged arc welding jib under flux for linear welding circular or heavy gauge circular and a MIG-MAG welding robot allowing continuous movement of 14x axes over 6000 mm stroke.

Large dimension machining

To achieve the ultimate level of precision in our products, we have invested heavily in large-scale machining machines. All of our milling and turning machines are equipped with Numerical Controls (NC) which allow unit programs to be carried out either directly on the machine or remotely using a CAM (Computer Aided Manufacturing) solution. These programming solutions make it possible to manufacture single parts and series parts with excellent productivity. Most of our machines are equipped with automatic tool changer magazines to minimize machining cycle times. We have a centralized room for storing and preparing tools which allows us to manage our stock in real time. We have forged partnerships with leading manufacturers of cutting tools to regularly test new solutions and new cutting parameters to gain efficiency. The final dimensional check can be carried out using conventional means or through three-dimensional solutions such as the measuring arm or the laser tracker.

The complementarity of this production tool allows us to manufacture in-house in record time any mechanical part, sheet metal-boiler part or mechanical-welded assembly at the best market price. Our production equipment is particularly efficient when the components weigh between 200 Kg and 2 Tons. If necessary, we can manufacture components with a mass of 10 tons thanks to a production hall and a crane adapted to heavy special parts.
